I've verified that bitbake -c patch world works with these, but did not run a world
build; the majority of recipes shouldn't need further fixups, but if there are
some that still fall out, they can be fixed in followups.

The current PV=3.6 is not a git tag but a Readme content so, use
UPSTREAM_CHECK_COMMITS to detect upstream updates.

This is the result of automated script (0.9.1) conversion:

converting the metadata to use ":" as the override character instead of "_".

When running s-suite v3.6, it complains that create_config.sh isn't
installed.
./config_params.sh: line 1: ../create_config.sh: No such file or directory
Rework so that create_config.sh is installed.
