The old SRC_URI stopped working (its certificate expired), and the recipe
defaulted to OE mirrors.

Adding UPSTREAM_CHECK_URI fix UNKNOWN_BROKEN status from
running devtool check-upgrade-status.
The next version of the package can be found from upstream
sources.
